A trip to Ibiza with the lads is a rite of passage for many Brits, and Yorkshire Tea satirise the inherent naffness of the occasion in funny fashion with their latest ad. The music promo-cum-commercial is fronted by Skipton Alfie - a young man with brews on the brain as he prepares for his vacation.

All the tropes of a piss-up holiday are twisted to focus on hot beverages here, with shots of tequila traded in for cuppas and a declaration that the main character has packed "ten kilos of the good stuff" (teabags) taken very seriously by airport security. The flight even lands at local time: tea time.

Director Fred Rowson makes the most of the jovial tone and silly humour in the concept, never overstating a joke and letting the audience find their own favourite moments as the film unspools. DAVID particularly enjoyed "this kettle has an internal fuse" in response to a question from a nightclub hook-up... parents of youngsters jetting off this summer will wish their sprogs could keep things so PG.
