Whenever I Want

After a glitchy start to his new song, producer Musa Masa makes his position clear: "I'm allowed to fuck up whenever I want." It's perhaps the best answer to the question, "Would you care to explain yourself?" we've ever heard, and a weapons-grade earworm into the bargain.

The track is feel-good electronic chaos, permission to dance when others may not grant it. Aggressive, bouncy, and driven by a constant statement of intent (the only other lyric is, "Yo, pass that shit"), it demands to be heard at full volume in a sweatbox.

Everyone in Will and Ed Reid's promo is tuned in, and it’s a joyous sight to behold. The enraptured cast all dance and dress as they please, each with their own flourishes that are rendered in hazy slow motion. Shout-out to the bloke in a Sahara cap whose eyes are on a trip to places unknown.
