"Bring More to the Table"

14 April 2023

60s

A quiet drink.

Nary a word is spoken in this classy Leffe commercial—not out loud, at least. Two men shoot the breeze over a couple of pints, their conversation relayed via subtitles. Every gesture says something, be it a sideways glance or a tilt of the head, and speaks volumes about their relationship.

The pub they frequent "never disappoints", while two young guys carrying a coach along the street remind them of Big Brown, "the best sofa ever". They even fall out when a joke is taken the wrong way, though all is forgiven after a few ruminative sips.

Thanks to director Gary Freedman's light touch, the silent treatment is both fun and meaningful. Forget empty words and nonsensical banter, say the brand—enjoy the comfortable silence that marks true friendship. Just don't join in with any spontaneous dancing.
