Lust for Love

The messiness of life and love takes centre stage in this emotional rollercoaster of a commercial from Kruger. Being the parent company of various tissues and toilet papers means the brand has a vested interest in the less glamorous aspects of life, and it presents them in relatable fashion throughout the film.

From the first juvenile stirrings of love to teenage fumbling, marriage, and beyond, there's plenty of drama to be had. Break-ups and make-ups are tumultuous affairs, while moments of pure romance, reassurance, and resilience shine through the noise.

Director Mark Zibert walks a fine emotional line here, not shying away from the realities of our (often bad) behaviour while ensuring that the viewer comes out the other side with their faith in humanity intact. It's a sweet piece of work overall, and certainly fits with the brand's 'unapologetically human' mantra.
