Cape Town rush.

Director Leigh Powis's last HOKA commercial saw runners take flight like a flock of starlings. This pacy follow-up is more grounded, so to speak, but it still looks and sounds the part. Powis and DP Mauro Chiarello hit the streets of Cape Town, where they must somehow keep up with a runner who knows every step of South Africa's oldest city.

She even gestures to the camera as she sets off—a playful challenge to filmmaker and viewer alike. 'Bitanga' by Alina Pash (the artist who was replaced by Kalush Orchestra at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest 2022) sets the tone, and complements the ad's lively urban aesthetic. Keep an eye out for Table Mountain and a flamingo pedalo.
