Le festive freak.

Trevor the dinosaur's delivery of "Lights, camera, coffee machine!" has more energy to it than most George Clooney Nespresso ads put together. It's also the set-up for an Argos Christmas spot that benefits from top-notch animation and a dollop of 1970s funk.

Despite his short arms (he is a T-Rex, after all), Trevor's asked to film a music video on a Google Pixel 8. The star is, of course, Connie the fashion doll, who emerges in a cloud of steam from a coffee maker. Who needs a smoke machine when you have a Sage Bambino Plus?

She dances to 'Le Freak' by Chic, as if to show Barbie that the Doll of the Year title is still up for grabs. Both her movement and the way she interacts with items from the Argos catalogue are spot on, like when her hair's blasted by a Shark vacuum cleaner nozzle.

Connie, directors Traktor, and the team at Untold Studios have done their part, but what about Trevor? As it turns out, the phone was on selfie mode the whole time ("This is gonna break the internet!") Let's hope Connie remembers that Christmas is a time to forgive!
