'100% Endurance' by Yard Act blends existential dread with Northern wit—the kind that responds to a potential alien invasion with, "It's alright, I've fought more wars than I've had hot dinners". Spoken rather than sung by frontman James Smith, the lyrics evoke Pulp and Arctic Monkeys at their lucid best.

Smith takes us on a journey that is both profound and hilarious. What begins as a run-of-the-mill hangover ("I don't remember leaving Nathan's house") morphs into kitchen-sink science fiction and ends up as a heartfelt reminder to live in the moment.
