Money for something.
It must be infuriating for Sky that their service is so frequently identified as something that shouldn't be available to people who need supplements from the state to ensure a basic standard of living. Tory politicians are fond of suggesting that all the fun should be stripped out of people's lives before they qualify for financial assistance from the government. It's unsurprising then that Sky have decided to get their retaliation in first, as the current cost of living crisis continues to bite. In anticipation of a squeeze on subscriptions, the broadcasting giant has created a commercial designed to demonstrate that their offering is, despite the heartless commentary from politicians with no empathy, extremely good value. The visual metaphors to illustrate this point have been cleverly put together by director Nick Gordon and VFX hotshots Untold Studios. Sofas are stretched, laptops dance up stairs, and dancers are frozen by buffering broadband. This is not going to stop Sky subscriptions being used to bash the working class, but it provides a useful reminder to their customers that you get an awful lot for your money.
