This 60" Peloton commercial is basically Law & Order fan fiction. Christopher Meloni (Special Victims Unit's Elliot Stabler) invites viewers into his home gym while he promotes the brand's fitness app—oh, and he's bollock-naked for the duration.

The 61-year-old actor clearly looks after himself, though not everyone is convinced by his methods. "Apparently, some people think the way I work out is strange," Meloni says, but he stands by his choice of app. His nudity is neither here nor there.

Director Vincent Peone still mines plenty of laughs from it, as Meloni performs yoga next to a copy of Michelangelo's David (each with their meat and two veg pixelated) and runs past a dog that barks, "Wow, he really does have a great app!"

However, the best gag is saved for Law & Order fans, with a tweaked version of the show's opening lines performed by Steve Zirnkilton. Viewers must decide if they're Team Pants or Team Meloni.

Of course, the naked truth is that the brand are in a tight spot after their pandemic heyday. As the company end in-house production of their signature exercise bikes, this app-focused commercial feels like both a fresh start and a Hail Mary.
