"Double Trouble"

25 July 2022

30s

Heroes stay dry.

This summer's record-breaking heatwave triggered another spate of drownings in UK open waters. Temperatures may have dropped, but the danger of rivers, lakes, natural pools, and the sea remains high. New guidance comes from the National Water Safety Forum (NWSF), who want everyone to think before they leap.

That includes those who want to help by jumping into the water themselves. The lead of this 30" film tries to do just that, but he's stopped by his exact double—common sense made flesh. For once, instincts are the enemy.

The conflict is portrayed as a dance that causes the protagonist's phone to land on the ground. If he calls 999, he gives his friend a better chance of survival than if he dived in after him. It also reduces the chances of a double tragedy in an already troubling summer.
