New Moon

Fa and Fon Watkins direct this gutsy, ironclad video for Karin Marie Aagaard Ørsted Andersen (aka MØ). Inspired by medieval warfare and historical dioramas, the promo turns the Dane into an electro-pop warrior armed with a sword and a steampunk gauntlet. She also carries the moon on her shoulders like Atlas in space.

The production design and choreography are superb throughout, with Fa & Fon immersing viewers in a baroque, emotionally wrought battlefield ("With every fiber/Make a lightning in the deep/Shooting fire"). As debut music videos go, this bodes well for the twins' military campaign—sorry, filmmaking career.
