This Foals promo looks like it was fun to make, but there's also a bittersweet quality to it. '2am' was filmed in Kyiv before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and directed by Odesa-born Tanu Muiño. The band have already tweeted their support for everyone involved in the video, and we hope they are safe wherever they are.

The film itself is a worthy celebration of vibrant, intricate set design, as frontman Yannis Philippakis gives up his lonely seat at the bar ("It's 2am and I've gone and lost my friends/But I can't sleep alone again") and enters a lively maze of primary colours.

Even when a digger arrives to destroy the whole thing, it simply reminds viewers of the joy of tactile enivornments and the performers who inhabit them. Ukraine has done so much for commercials and music videos in this regard—now the unthinkable has left an uncertain future.
