A slide order of butter.

Things are on the slide in this Anchor commercial in the best way possible. A sequel to 2019's 'The Cafe', the imaginatively staged ad shows how decent butter can make all the difference no matter how it's used. Luckily, the chefs in one particular street have plenty of the stuff.

A nifty day/night cycle illustrates the product's adaptability, as it's spread on a bacon roll in the morning, coats a scone during afternoon tea, and crowns a piece of steak at dinner. Not only is this fun to watch, it's a clever way to position the brand as an ever-present tool in a cook's arsenal.

The film also delivers a respite from hospitality venues dissected by plastic screens and one-way systems. Free-form preparation and consumption dominate here, as does the joy of food which brands like this must nurture whenever possible.
