Stormzy provides a pumped-up soundtrack for this amusing ad for Very, which sees a lad imagine that he's finally ascended to school bus glory. The coveted back seat seems primed for his presence here, and his confidence is at an all-time high as he struts his way to claim his rightful throne.

The contrast between reality (his peers regarding his premature posturing with confusion) and fantasy (being flanked by medieval knights as he claims the crown) is skilfully drawn by directors The Bobbsey Twins, whose judicious use of slow-motion teases out the comedy.

This cognitive disconnect makes the boy's final interaction all the more amusing, as he's turfed from the seat by the current playground monarch. Perhaps next year it will be his turn to rule, but for now he takes being relegated to the pleb seats gracefully enough.
