Toronto's Sick Kids hospital pays tribute to the resilience and strength of its young occupants in this poignant film. Beginning with an emergency call which establishes tension right off the bat, the ad sees fear and hopelessness spread across the city like a cloud of black smoke. It infects parents comforting children, patients trying to heal, and medical equipment...but there is light in the darkness.

A whispered cover of Simple Minds' 'Don't You Forget About Me' swells into a chorus of many voices as the mood turns, taking the emotional temperature from despair to hope. Director Mark Zibert allows the narrative to play out in unhurried fashion, ensuring that the pay-off of hope feels truly earned by the end.
