Burberry

Horsing around.

Casting a celebrity with a dedicated fanbase can often be a boon for a commercial campaign, and this strange outing for Burberry makes the most of Adam Driver's, er, forthright admirers. The Jonathan Glazer-directed piece sees the distinctive-looking actor race a horse across a beach, all but keeping pace with the animal until they both plunge into the depths.

So far, so standard, but what really has the Twittersphere up in arms is the baffling decision to have Driver and his equine companion become one... literally. After some impressive underwater photography, a final shot of the actor appearing in silhouette as a centaur raises more questions than it answers. The main one concerning Kylo Ren enthusiasts being 'is it OK to be attracted to a man with horse legs?'.

Whatever the answer is, Burberry and Glazer deliver a strangely compelling film that's already made a useful splash. Perhaps the idea for this genetic experiment was born on the set of Guinness 'Surfer' over twenty years ago.
