This Motor Neurone Disease Association film is dedicated to Wendy Gladwyn, a performing arts mentor who passed away from the disease. Director Jess Journo - a former ballet dancer herself - artfully conveys how even the most lithe and active individual can succumb to muscle weakness and other life-shortening effects.

Journo’s vessel is dancer Dana Fouras, who delivers a gripping performance that is both elegant and jolting. The tension is compounded by Brendan Void’s piercing score, which builds as Fouras’s ‘condition’ worsens. A grounded VO, meanwhile, outlines the devastating facts of the disease - subtitles for a grimly beautiful film.
