While there may be many things to envy about Kevin Bacon's life and career, we never expected his mobile provider to make the list. That's all changing thanks to EE, who celebrate their ostensible position as the UK's top 5G network with this amusing ad starring their newly-smug spokesman and jealous bystander Doug.

The latter's miserable internal monologue is nicely realised here, as Bacon laughs triumphantly in slow-motion like some manner of maniacal mobile monarch. It's an entertaining way to draw attention to the brand's credentials while just about avoiding outright arrogance, resulting in a socially distant two-hander that doesn't outstay its welcome.
