Living Out Loud

Nike continue their campaign celebrating those who live fearlessly with a new film focused on Caster Semenya. Despite facing racism, sexism, and gender policing, the South African athlete remains gloriously defiant in the face of naysayers - something which shines through this work.

Director A G Rojas takes us through Semenya's life in reverse, as she asks at which point her behaviour became 'unacceptable'. Should she have chosen a different sport? Been less proud of herself? Or just stopped trying to win altogether?

Semenya makes for a compelling narrator, and Rojas's measured hand ensures her spirit and tenacity are always centre stage. Whatever the world does to try and stop her, it's clear that Semenya isn't going to let that happen.
