A dog's patchy understanding of the meaning of Christmas propels this charming piece of work for Pedigree. From the moment the pooch is introduced to his family, he thinks he has the rationale of the holiday licked - naturally, it's "the season of good boy".

It's difficult to argue with his theory. After all, what impressionable mutt wouldn't assume baubles and trees were an abstract tribute to the game of fetch? Unfortunately, his belief that Christmas is all about him is dashed by a visit to the local dog shelter.

Pedigree being Pedigree, the ad still delivers a feel-good finale as the brand wish all our furry friends a Merry Christmas, aided by some disarming narration from the lead pooch.
