Courage Everywhere

Google Arts & Culture have released this pacy film to mark the installation of the first statue of a woman outside Parliament. Directed by Leonn Ward, the film celebrates feminism throughout British history.

Rapid cuts see different people holding up signs explaining what the progression of women's rights means to them, while a voiceover explains how Millicent Fawcett and the Suffragettes kick-started the movement.

The film is pleasantly educational, with archival footage interspersed with shots of modern feminists. A diverse range of topics are covered neatly... although, as the film says, there's still progress to be made.
