How far would you go to say hello to your shoes? That's the premise of this amusing ad for eco-friendly shoe brand Allbirds, wherein a woman absconds from the dentist's chair and embarks on a globetrotting odyssey.

Whilst other parties may encourage such aberrant behaviour, the San Francisco start-up's spokesman is at a loss. As the single-minded protagonist covers vast distances by any means available, the VO's bemused commentary - "We're not really sure what the point would be" - only heightens the intrigue.

As it turns out, the woman's sneakers derive from one particular tree out in the wilderness… and she would like to acknowledge its, erm, hard work. While we're free to follow her example, the brand insist simply wearing their sustainably-sourced wares is more than enough.
