Getting that undead heart pumping.

Brooks Running draft in some of the flesh-eating throngs of 'The Walking Dead' in this well-realised zombie apocalypse with a difference.

A man seeks refuge from his pursuers by hiding in a sports shop. Just when it looks like he's doomed to become the undead's latest banquet, one ghoul notices a running shoe on the ground. It inspires the entire horde to rethink their dining plans and instead get their exercise regimes back on track. Hmm, do zombies have New Year's resolutions, too? Get back to us on that one, science.

In a wry twist on the slow vs. fast zombies debate, the decaying mob begin to enjoy a spot of jogging. Well, not before some sensible stretching and cracking those ligaments back into place.

Director Björn Rühmann manages a neat tonal shift as the ad becomes a macabre tribute to the benefits of a good run. Brooks Running's claim that running can help lift those out of even the most extreme stupor is stretched out, but thanks to its gruesome cast and amusing beats, it's a clever and memorable addition to the sector.
