"Rain"

Wetting the appetite.

BBC Radio 3 celebrates its seventieth anniversary with a trio of films demonstrating the station's commitment to immersive programming. This execution takes poet Alice Oswald's 'Rain' and stages a monsoon in the kitchen. Not that this listener appears too fussed by her extra soggy cuppa - instead, she's content to let Oswald's words wash over her.

Kudos to the actor for sitting through this indoor shower, while the conceit does a neat job of conveying radio's ability to transport us to a different place, be it through music or the spoken word. As the station strives to reinforce its position after seventy years on the air, it's keen to use both sound and visuals to capture radio lovers' imaginations.
