Soda pop solutions

The kids in this lovely FedEx ad must been plonked in front of Wall Street as babes. These mini-Gordon Gekkos want solutions - fast! Director Tom Kuntz coaxes great performances from the young actors who convince you that the soda pop industry is a harsh mistress.

There are some lovely beats here - the classic thump on the desk; terse words from a four month veteran; and a weary businessman emboldened by the ideas of youth. The perfectly timed interjection by the boy's father is a nice reminder that their all-conquering business empire's still a little way off.

When Aidan's sorted out his retainer problem though, FedEx can provide faster ground shipping than their nearest competitor. It's an enjoyable way of presenting the brand as a dependable option once those tough decisions are made.
