Virgin Holidays

"Harlow Globetrotters"

The Harlow Globetrotters

Great big sassy ad full of attitude - selling holidays to Florida. How can this be? Rather like the bumble bee's ability to fly, we don't know how it's come about, but there it is. "Other families buy your photo at the end of the ride," drawls the deadpan VO as the Tullocks from Harlow are transformed into the dazzlingly über-cool Harlow Globetrotters.

The "renowned parking space missers" become the ones who "swim from the same song sheet", diving into the pool in a synchronised fashion; while their holiday fashions themselves are deliciously over the top.

Tongue-in-cheek it may be, but this it looks like Virgin know how to turn your annual holiday - potentially fraught with unspoken resentments, disappointments and claustrophobic apartments, into a thing of beauty and joy... and, most crucially, fun.
