In the latest podcast in the Foundation Stories series, we spoke to Adam and Amanda Luckwell of UNIT whose story is one of managing their personal relationship as well as their business relationship.

In this edition of the 'Foundation Stories' podcast, we spoke to Adam and Amanda Luckwell who, as well as being business partners, are husband and wife. Their contrasting personalities, and hugely different approaches to business complement each other to create a harmonious working relationship but how do they manage the work-life balance?

Their common ground, arguably their only common ground is their admiration and respect for one another. In every other regard they are polar opposites, with Amanda preferring to ride her instincts, and Adam examining ideas with a dispassionate analysis. But it works... partly because they know they have the other in their self-assigned role to counter-balance their own tendencies.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the interview is the deeply personal part where they discuss how their relationship began, and their contrasting views of the other when they first met. Their circumstances could hardly have been more different, and they both had to bridge significant gaps to understand the other.
