Talia Beale—a director who sits inside culture, no less—is now on the global roster at Academy Films. Tottenham born and bred, she "moulds experimental images that tug raw surrealities into warped, relatable scenes, often rooted in the pulse of London's underground youth culture". She's not in the moment, Academy says—she is the moment.

Partner and managing director Medb Riordan also calls Beale "a rare force—a modern polymath whose creativity moves effortlessly across disciplines and platforms". Riordan adds: "As she steps into the global spotlight, we're honoured to welcome her to our roster and champion the next chapter in what promises to be a remarkable career."

And what does Jennifer Byrne, Academy's Head of Development, have to say about Beale? "Talia is one in a million, an incredible talent who brims with curiosity and surprises me with unique references and ways of looking at the world. I want her to win.
