Superprime snare Sebastian Lopez.

Danish-Cuban director Sebastian Lopez has signed with Superprime for representation in the US, the UK and the Netherlands.

in their press release, Superprime use a very colourful metaphor to describe their new director Sebastian Lopez. They say that "if traditional advertising is a polished showroom, Lopez's work feels more like stepping into a packed house party where everyone is a character and the music never quite stops." Which makes the Danish-Cuban sound like a lot of fun.

Lopez came to DAVID's attention earlier this year when we were sent 'That's AI' - his entertaining short film making fun of the fuss around AI. It starts with two men on a park bench marvelling at the antics of a young man performing gymnastics, and ends with a virtual witch hunt with accusations flying in every direction.

According to Rebecca Skinner and Michelle Ross of Superprime: "Sebastian’s work sticks because it’s genuinely funny and grounded in everyday behavior. He’s a strong writer with a sharp sense of dialogue and timing, shaping how he directs performances."

While Sebastian Lopez himself says: "Some say a creative’s superpower is instinct, and mine tells me this is the right place. Being around kind, driven, and inspired people is exactly what I’m looking for, so I’m genuinely excited to join Superprime. I can’t wait to get started. I’ve got a lot of ideas and a long list of people I’m excited to collaborate with."

Superprime

Superprime describe themselves as "a Los Angeles and London production company specializing in commercials, branded content and innovative film" which is wonderfully succinct. They also possess an incredibly impressive roster of directorial talent. The way they flit between big-screen and small-screen projects beggars belief at times.
