Born in Singapore, raised on the Gold Coast of Australia, and now based in London, Claryn Chong's next stop is Stink, where she aims to direct a bevy of music videos and commercials like 'Unreal Movement' for Nike and Bugeisha Club. Her Stink debut revolves around the group founded by Mana Kimura-Anderson, also known as The Nunchuck Princess, and its new weapon of choice: the Air Max Dn8 shoe.

The Bugeisha Club Banshees are Kimura-Anderson, Lara Swift, Becky Tun Pe, April Gunawardena, and Akiko Haruna—elite 'agents' recruited for a single mission from different corners of London. Once they've moved through the city like a hot five-bladed knife through butter, they converge at Bugeisha Club HQ as a modern warrior clan. We like to think Chong has been an honorary member.

On the making of 'Unreal Movement' and joining Stink, Chong says: "Meeting the members of Bugeisha Club felt like stepping into a dream, offering the chance to create a world where Asian women can be superheroes, breaking barriers and rewriting their own stories. I'm so happy we got to create this project together, with the help of Stink. And I'm so happy to join their roster."

Dom McKiernan, Head of Music Videos and Special Projects, is equally effusive: "We're really excited to welcome Claryn to the Stink roster for music videos and commercial projects. Her unique understanding of fashion and culture, paired with a technical background in photography and cinematography, brings a fresh and distinctive perspective to our team. We can't wait to see what she creates next."
