Packer Productions adds Bart Timmer to the mix.

Richard Packer and Bart Timmer go back a bit so it's probably not surprising that the Dutch director has decided to throw his lot in with Packer after the latter's astronomical start.

It feels like it's only been five minutes since DAVID was announcing the launch of Packer Productions but in the short time they've been up and running, founder Richard Packer has established them first as a serious contender, and then as a powerhouse capable of competing with the established production company brands on an equal footing.

Packer Productions’s credibility has been further enhanced by the arrival of Bart Timmer - a long-standing associate of Richard Packer from their time together at Outsider.

Timmer's work straddles the humorous and the sentimental, bringing the two together in a manner that can feel like a magic trick. Take a look, for example, at this charming film for Bol which, apart from anything else, demonstrates how international the language of love can be.

This ad for Hyundai leans firmly away from sentimentality but once again demonstrates Timmer's ability to draw great performances from children... even when they are required to be monstrous! A lot gets established in just 30" including the very important idea that the advertised car is a safe haven from all the mayhem.

Finally, here is a lovely ad for Audible made for the UK market which is a super illustration of Timmer's ability to create a beautifully crafted series of vignettes which incorporate all the aforementioned aspects into a single film providing 'all the feels', as the kids say.
