No need to go for a head scan—instead, Lewis uses his background as fuel for a directing career that soon called for representation. This is where Outsider enters the game.

Executive producer Otis Denison says: "You meet Duncan and you see why he's been so busy and why he's worked with the brands that he has. I've been patiently waiting for the right home and when I met Joe [Meadows] and Otis, I knew pretty quickly this is where I wanted to be. They understood me as a director who champions realism as well as more stylised approaches, and after hearing Otis talk about his vision for Outsider, it was a no brainer."
