To celebrate surviving January in one piece, Missing Link Films has signed experimental directing duo Diego Indraccolo and Alice Gatti (or D I • A L, for those in a rush).
Not everyone survives January in one piece (it was touch and go for DAVID thanks to Storm Éowyn), but Missing Link Films got through it. To celebrate, the company has signed experimental directing duo Diego Indraccolo and Alice Gatt (or D I • A L, for those in a rush), not long after the release of 'Florescence' for Schön Magazine.

The short film features an ensemble cast with models like Uma Vethakkan, Richmond Yeboah, and Janni Lima—all of whom see gender and sexuality as constructs to be bent or even broken. It's why they appreciate flowers so much. Flowers have also had labels thrust upon them and cliches about femininity and romance poured over them like stale water, so Indraccolo and Gatti flip the script. Flowers reproduce both by sexual and asexual means in a beautiful, colourful, and sticky melee, so so how about we open our minds about gender and sexuality just like flowers bloom? |
Such work leads executive producer and managing director Ben Link to say: "Diego and Alice have such a unique and fresh vision of the world and that comes across in all of their beautifully crafted work. We can't wait to work with them—welcome to the family, D I • A L!" And what do Diego and Alice have to say about all this? "We couldn't be happier to join Ben and Heather in this new venture. They are building something truly special with Missing Link Films, and we are so grateful to be a part of it. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we couldn't ask for better fellow adventurers." |
