Tiny Bullet's big move to Merman.

Merman has signed director and badger whisperer Tiny Bullet to its commercial roster, which the company says had a "Tiny Bullet-shaped hole in it" for too long.

Merman has signed director and badger whisperer Tiny Bullet to its commercial roster. It's the perfect excuse to revisit Tina Bull's memorable 2024 spot for Gas Networks Ireland, wherein a stressed-out omnivore worries about the danger he's put wife Linda and his two cubs in ("Gas pipes? Never in my six years under this earth have I checked before I dug!")

Unlike the featured badger, the company's engineers ensure they've taken the time and trouble to ensure that they don't disrupt any existing infrastructure. Tiny Bullet makes the most of a funny script by giving her badger a frenetic energy to accompany his neurosis, plus his use of an inhaler ensures this message about corporate responsibility is delivered with a laugh.

It's smiles all round at Merman HQ, where Siobhan Murphy and Spencer Dodd say: "We've admired Tiny Bullet's irrepressibly inventive style for some time and finally had the good fortune to meet her in person and she certainly didn’t disappoint! We’re absolutely thrilled to make it official and welcome Tina to the Merman family."

“

It feels like exactly where I belong, and I can’t wait to see what strange and wonderful things we create together.

"Her casting is always distinctive and she has a real gift for bringing out the very best in her actors," Murphy and Dodd explain, "a quality that feels perfectly aligned with Merman. In all honesty, she fills a very big Tiny Bullet-shaped hole on the roster!"

"From the moment I started talking to Shiv and Spencer, there was an immediate spark. We share the same appetite for beautifully crafted work and pushing ideas into unexpected places.

"Merman has a close-knit production team who genuinely care about developing their directors and helping them grow across a broad and constantly evolving creative space. It feels like exactly where I belong, and I can't wait to see what strange and wonderful things we create together."
