Scott Weintrob, director of action film 'Paradox Effect', reality series 'Orlando Bloom: To the Edge', and Lewis Hamilton's recent ode to 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', is now represented by Merman in the UK. When asked about the move, Weintrob keeps it short and sweet: "I'm a big fan of Merman and love the team. The roster is superb and their recent works are incredible."
|
That gives Spencer Dodd, executive producer and partner at Merman, more time to say: "Scott's been working with our US office for some time already. His skill and expertise are plain for everyone to see and were perfectly articulated in his recent spot for Ferrari with Lewis Hamilton. His experience with cars, public figures and iconic brands is evident across TV, film, commercial, and documentary projects having picked up virtually every award going." |
Dodd adds: "Scott's enthusiasm and his unique blend of talent across both long form and short form make him the perfect fit for Merman's branded endeavours whatever form they take. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership." It would be remiss of us not to end on Weintrob and Lewis Hamilton's salute to 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', made possible thanks to digital jiggery-pokery and a why-the-hell-not attitude. If you've somehow never seen the film, there's a scene where Ferris (Matthew Broderick), Sloane (Mia Sara), and Cameron (Alan Ruck) entrust a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder to a couple of garage attendants (Richard Edson and Larry 'Flash' Jenkins). The former is replaced by Hamilton, and the latter is replaced by... Edward Norton, of course. |
