Magna Studios welcomes Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Chiwetel Ejiofor, director of 'The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind' and 'Rob Peace', has signed with Magna Studios for commercial representation, which is a kind of a big deal.
Magna Studios has only gone and signed Chiwetel Ejiofor—yes, the Chiwetel Ejiofor—for commercial representation. Well-established in front of the camera and then some ('12 Years a Slave', 'Doctor Strange', 'The Man Who Fell to Earth'), Ejiofor wrote and directed his first short film, 'Slapper', in 2008. It would take more than a decade for his debut feature to appear, but it was worth the wait.

|
'The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind'—based on the memoir of the same name by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer—tells the story of a Malawian teenager who builds a windmill out of spare parts and scrap. Ejiofor also plays the boy's father, Trywell, but it's Ejiofor the director and storyteller who makes the biggest impression. When biographical drama 'Rob Peace' dropped in 2024, it was clear he was in it for the long run. |

So is Magna Studios Co-CEO Davud Karbassioun: "Chiwetel is one of the most prolific actors of his generation with that rare ability to move effortlessly between genres and make audiences laugh, cry, and everything in between. With 'The Boy Who Harness the Wind' and 'Rob Peace', he's shown he's just as powerful in the director’s chair as he is in front of the camera." |
