Andy Baker Studios joins All of Us Here

Animation powerhouse All of Us Here's line-up has been bolstered by the addition of Andy Baker Studios, and it's fair to say that Isabella Parish is very excited at the prospect of working together.

At an all-to-brief catch-up with All of Us Here's Isabella Parish recently, she told DAVID how excited she was to add Andy baker Studios to her eclectic roster. Her enthusiasm was, as it always is, infectious and she reported that his 2D style is distinctive and unusual and that "he has a raw, gritty, funny and fun style that suits the UK market so well."

Andy Baker Studio is a collaboration between the eponymous director and Lucia Davies, who fulfils the roles of both creative director and EP. Their magic sauce is made up of a love of traditional animation and a deep understanding of brands.

This recent film for Polaroid typifies the way Baker and Davies use the tropes of their animation style to great effect, generating tremendous humour as well as providing a stream of genuinely useful information. Animation proves the perfect vehicle for this kind of communication... or at least it does when Andy Baker Studios are providing it.

This ad for Habito is one of a series that was directed by Andy Baker for the finance company through the agency Uncommon. It's fair to say that they are a bit of a departure for the sector! And if you're going yo push back against the usual constraints then go big!
