'Friendship' and 'The Chair Company' director Andrew DeYoung is now represented by Outsider in the UK and the Netherlands, much to the delight of Executive Producer Otis Denison.
'Friendship' director Andrew DeYoung is now represented by Outsider in the UK and the Netherlands. The man from Fresno, California released the Craig Robinson and Paul Rudd comedy to critical and commercial success in 2024, going on to direct five episodes of Robinson's modern classic 'The Chair Company'. To say Outsider EP Otis Denison is stoked would be an understatement.

"I have been a massive fan of Andrew's for quite some time and I had been chasing him for a chat or even just a hello for months and months. When he finally responded. I felt like I'd already won—that was enough. But then he put his faith in myself and Outsider, it really was the greatest feeling. "His work is bold, unusual, distinctive, and utterly brilliant," says Denison. "I saw 'Friendship' on my own for the earliest screening I could find at my local cinema the day it came out. Once it finished, I messaged as many people as I could to tell them they had to go and see it. Immediately." |

"Alongside 'The Chair Company', Andrew has shown us all what a refreshing energy he is and what a force he will continue to be in comedy. I cannot wait to start this journey in the UK with him and bring his surreal and uncomfortable storytelling to the commercials fray. I'm absolutely buzzing for this one." And what does DeYoung, whose reel's taken him to medieval Italy ('The Decameron') and the Golden Age of Piracy ('Our Flag Means Death'), have to say about all this? "I'm thrilled to join the lovely people at Outsider to help me finally achieve the dream of selling out internationally." Hear, hear! |
