Adam Rudd is back at Final Cut.
30 July 2026
Editor Adam Rudd forged his reputation for excellence at Final Cut and, now, after a period away from the company where it all began, he is back where he belongs... and raring to go.
According to David Webb - Final Cut's MD - the return of prodigal son Adam Rudd has been a cause for real celebration within the company's offices on both sides of the Atlantic: "We’re thrilled to welcome Adam back to the Final Cut family and tellingly - straight to the cutting room. It’s like he never left!" There's little surprise at Webb's delight as Rudd is a top tier editor who would enhance the offer of any edit house.

Having worked between London and Los Angeles throughout his two-decade career, Rudd has an understanding of the sensibilities of both of these key markets. And after having an array of top directing talent including Danny Kleinman, Johnny Green, Siri Bunford, Tom Hooper and Tom Tagholm sat in his booth, Rudd has attained a reputation of the highest order and his work has been recognised by all the major awards bodies. |
|
His showcase work includes this musical extravaganza for Doordash which was directed by Camila Zapiola. Viewing it reveals the vital role played by Rudd in ensuring Zapiola was able to land an idea that relied heavily on possessing the production values, style and feel of a big budget Hollywood musical. |

This ad for Toyota, directed by Philippe André, includes a spectacular piece of in-camera gymnastics and special effects but it is in the glimpses of witnesses in nearby cars where Rudd excels, as these reaction shots ground the ad, and help to humanise the idea. The ad flows beautifully, much like its young athlete at its centre. |
|
More recently, Rudd edited this underrated banger for McDonald's which was directed by GRANDMAS. This one is a showcase of Rudd's skill as an editor of comedy, one of the most vital tools for top editors in advertising. He helps the directors land the escalating humour in a highly effective piece of advertising which urges punters to try something different on the menu at their favourite fast food restaurant. |
|
Now based in the UK Adam Rudd has been reacquainting himself with the colleagues he knew from his previous stint, and getting to know those who've arrived in the meantime, and, by all accounts, it has already been a very happy homecoming. |
