Film Klaxon: Dammi.

by Andrew MacGregor

RESET's Yann Demange, director of ''71' and 'White Boy Rick', is back with an experimental short film about home and identity. Born in Paris to a French mother and an Algerian father, Demange moved to London when he was two years old. Riz Ahmed ('Sound of Metal', 'Mogul Mowgli') plays a man who makes the same trip in reverse.

This Paris is a dreamlike city in conversation with Algiers. It makes the search for his estranged father more abstract, more labyrinthine than any tourist map can handle. He also meets a mysterious woman (Souheila Yacoub) who might just convince him to make this uncanny metropolis his home.
