Eve Ashwell joins tenthree as a Partner.

by Jason Stone

Eve Ashwell, one of the best editors in the world, has added her considerable talent to the roster at tenthree, bolstering an already formidable line-up. Ashwell has forged a fantastic reputation for a deep understanding of her craft, combined with the intuitive savviness needed to work alongside mercurial directors trying to meet impossible deadlines.

Eve Ashwell's recent work includes this corker for Lloyds Bank, directed by Gray Freedman. There is a lot of story to get across and there must have been a discussion about whether a voiceover was needed. Thanks to the brilliant assembly by Freedman and Ashwell, that need was avoided, and - consequently - it's a much more powerful piece of communication.

There was a very different challenge in this recent McDonald's ad directed by Tom Speers which has a conversation which shifts seamlessly from one vignette to the next. This tricky proposition has been landed with consummate skill.

Among Ashwell's other recent projects is this superb commercial for Quaker Oats directed by Charlotte Wells. It was the 'Aftersun' director's advertising debut, and having an editor with Ashwell's skill and experience alongside must have been a huge help.

Billy Mead of tenthree is suitable chuffed about the arrival of Eve Ashwell, saying: "[her] remarkable talent and experience will undoubtedly elevate our creative output and strengthen our collaborative culture."

Ed Hoadley adds: "Eve’s insights and mentorship will be vital as we advance into new territories. Her dedication to fostering emerging talent, especially among women in the industry, resonates with our commitment to nurturing creativity at all levels."

Eve Ashwell is equally effusive: "I have long admired tenthree for its commitment to creative excellence and the diverse talent within its ranks.

"The opportunity to collaborate with such a respected team is incredibly exciting. There is a feeling of excitement and genuine love for the company and the work, from everyone there.

"I also think they’re possibly the most liked company in town, as every person I've told I'm joining, has sung their praises. I’m eager to contribute my skills and insights to a company that values innovation and supports its people."

There's more of Eve Ashwell's work on display at the tenthree website where you will also find ways of getting in touch with the appropriate people to congratulate them and ask about Ashwell's availability.
