Julia Siu-Yin Ngeow joins Bang TV.

by Andrew MacGregor

Julia Siu-Yin Ngeow has a mean set of pipes—bagpipes, that is. The Australian director has played the instrument since she was twelve years old, so clients may get a burst of AC/DC's 'It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)' if they're lucky.

On top of that, Bang TV's new signing has a bachelor's degree in biophysics. This led to a stint at the Australian Cancer Council, where she studied the causes of brain tumours in children and whether Aboriginal medicinal plants could be used to fight cancer. If you ever get to pick her brains, savour every moment.

So apart from an eclectic CV, musical flair, and an interest in Daoism, what does Ngeow bring to her new home? A reel packed with commercials, documentaries, music videos, and short films, that's what. As soon as Jeremy McWilliams pressed play, he knew Ngeow would fit right in.

You might say McWilliams feels like he's won the lottery... which helps to set up Ngeow's Virginia Lottery commercial. To promote the brand's Scratchers scratchcards, she celebrate life's small but meaningful victories, like when a gothic metal fan meets a kindred spirit behind the counter of her local shop.
