Stink Rising swoop for Sinan Sevinç.

Though Sinan Sevinç is still a student at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, he already has global representation thanks to Stink Rising. Needless to say, the German is chuffed about his early graduation present.

"Stink is one of the biggest industry players globally," Sevinç says, "and I had great conversations with the whole team. Therefore, it felt like the right decision to join the Stink family." So what made Hannah Belil, Global Head of Stink Rising and Music Videos, swoop for the journalist-turned-director?

She points to Sevinç's documentary about Huwe Burton, an American man wrongfully convicted of murder: "'Born Guilty' demonstrates Sinan's incredible ambition to tell important stories from marginalised groups and blends his journalistic roots with impressive craft to deliver really gripping storytelling."

Sevinç is pleased that his forensic approach has paid dividends: "Authenticity is key for me. As a trained journalist, I set great store by credibility. I work out every detail from set design, to cast, to costumes. I know that can be exhausting for all departments sometimes but in the end it's the details that matter."
