The unstoppable Daniel Wolfe offers a live action take on the world of Assassin's Creed Origins in this dramatic ad. Origins explores the roots of the game's mythos, and this film offers a gritty snapshot of its Ancient Egyptian setting.

We see the ancient world in all its brutality here, with a level of detail which communicates the dust and dirt among the pyramids and pharaohs. The scale of production is impressive, with the shoot involving more than 200 extras, intricate costume work, and a variety of animals to enhance the grandeur.

A violent climax gives fans a tantalising glimpse of things to come, as a lone assassin watches chaos unfold below him. This is compelling work which sparks intrigue for the new game... a damn sight more than Michael Fassbender in a cloak did.

This mysterious trailer for Assassin's Creed Origins sees an empire crumble into dust. The animation is beautifully rendered... the monuments of Ancient Egypt dissolve to a haunting, mournful soundtrack. We get only the briefest glimpse of the protagonist and barest hint of the game's plot, but we nonetheless feel this film will create a buzz with new and old fans alike.
