Biting the hand that feeds us since 2002.

JACOB JOHN HARMER JOINS ACNE.

Acne have added Jacob John Harmer to their technically accomplished roster.

Harmer is a man of many talents... just the kind of director Acne appreciate. Having earned his filmmaking stripes in the editing booth, Harmer has embraced life behind the camera. Thanks to his technical nouse and contemplative approach, he's a shrewd addition to Acne HQ.

The name rings a bell - can you bring us up to speed with Harmer's work? Let's start with a real speed demon, shall we? This Nike film sees Dimitri Payet offer a blistering insight into the footballer's training regime.

Some filmmakers would've struggled to keep up with Payet, but Harmer manages to capture the playmaker's agility with a skilfully shot treatment.

Payet will have needed quick feet to dodge all those angry West Ham fans, eh? Very true. This was shot before Payet's inglorious departure from the London Stadium - though Marseille fans will no doubt lap it up!

Harmer has impressive form when it comes to big names. He sat down for a good ol' chinwag with rapper A$AP Rocky for online culture hub Nowness. Harmer gives A$AP free reign in this stripped back interview - and it prompts some animated discussion.

Reckon Charlize Theron was watching? A$AP will be hoping so! Either way, Harmer certainly gets good value from his opinionated subject. If you're looking for some a little more tranquil, though, we've got just the thing.

This engrossing short film - starring Harmer's brother - is an endurance run with an emotional backbone. It's an expressive calling card - and an encouraging sign of things to come from Harmer at Acne.
